GUILDEXAM
Australian GUILD Music & Speech Examination Board was founded in 1969 with the headoffice in Melbourne. It is non-profit, accredited public education institution, constituted to provide Music and Speech (Speech & Drama and English Communication) teaching and exam for teachers and students.
With a responsive organization through a comprehensive set of syllabi, this website is providing examinations and training information served in Malaysia, Vietnam, Brunei, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and China.
COMPETITION
LEVEL ASSESSMENT
Level 1-5
The Candidate is required to perform a minimum of FOUR contrasting pieces from the Australian Guild Syllabus or the “Own Choice”.
Please note that any ‘Own Choice” selections must be submitted before the examination for approval.
FOUR chosen pieces have a total of 20 marks each and will form a list to be submitted for the examination. Total 80 marks.
Summary 20 marks: Examiner to make overall comment of the performance. This included general musicality, control, presentation etc.
Level 6
The Candidate is required to perform a minimum of FIVE contrasting pieces from the Australian Guild Syllabus or the “Own Choice”.
Please note that any ‘Own Choice” selections must be submitted before the examination for approval.
FIVE chosen pieces have a total of 16 marks each and will form a list to be submitted for the examination. Total 80 marks.
Summary 20 marks: Examiner to make overall comment of the performance. This included general musicality, control, presentation etc.

Video Recording Guidelines
1. Video should have a minimum resolution of 720 pixels.
2. Video format in mp4, .ogg, or .webm.
3. Video has to start and end in one recording. There must be no stop in the recording between pieces.
4. No editing is allowed.
5. Candidate has to show their Identity Card / Passport (the page with personal info) by holding it up facing camera for 5 seconds for verification.
6. Candidate is required to perform 4 (Level 1 to 5) or 5 (Level 6) contrasting pieces.
7. Camera distance between 1 to 1.5m to ensure good sound quality.
8. Video angle should be taken from the side (right or left) eg for Pianist: between 0-45 degrees from the piano, showing the performer’s two hands and the full keyboard.
